The College was established after obtained the recognition to conduct B.Ed., course in Kalvithanthai A.K.R. Sourashtra Teacher's College, Sayanarpuram, Panaiyur Post, Madurai - 625 009 from the academic year 2005-2006 with an intake of 100 students under the recognition order F.SRO/NCTE/B.Ed./2005-2006/5001 dated 30.12.2005 issued by the National Council for Teacher Education, a statutory Body of Government of India.
The Higher Education Department of Government of Tamilnadu has issued G.O. (Ms) No. 33 dated 30.01.2006 granting ‘No Objection' to MaduraiKamarajUniversity for grant of affiliation to Kalvithanthai A.K.R. Sourashtra Teacher's College.
Consequently the authorities of Madurai Kamaraj University has granted affiliation CDC.5/Fr.A/AKRCE-Bed./2005-2006 to the Kalvithanthai A.K.R. Sourashtra Teacher's College, Sayanarpuram, Panaiyur Post, Madurai - 625 009 to start a self financing college of education under the name and style of Kalvithanthai A.K.R. Sourashtra Teacher's College, Sayanarpuram, Panaiyur Post, Madurai - 625 009. Now it is affiliated to T.N.T.C. university.
From the starting academic onwards the college is functioning in the permanent building located at Panaiyur put up with all infrastructure required for the B.Ed course. With the dedicated and well qualified team of faculty members the college ensures to provide quality education for the students, the future sculptors of India.
